Miami Seaquarium

Miami Seaquarium is unlike any aquarium, zoo or park that you have ever seen. This Seaquarium is an amazing tropical paradise, with spectacular views, amazing sea mammals and a full 38 acres of beauty and splendor! For over 50 years, Miami Seaquarium has lead the pack in aquatic education and research. This amazing marine park offers a variety of daily presentations, live animals shows, and myriad entertainment options, including aquatic mammals from dolphins to sharks.

Throughout its history, Miami Seaquarium has been seen as a pioneer in marine life education, research and rehabilitation. Over 85,000 students come from around the world, each year, to take part in the Seaquarium’s aquatic educational programs. The park uses these programs to teach visiting students about the various marine animals featured in the park, the role those animals play in the environment, and how we can all help to protect and care for them.

Among the Seaquarium’s tropic exhibits is Tropical Wings, an area full of tropical birds and various rainforest creatures. There is also the Atlantic and Caribbean Fish Aquariums, where kids young and old can thrill at the site of tropical marine life in aquariums lining the walls. For a little more bite in your day, the crocodile exhibit features twenty-five Nile Crocodiles. This exhibit, called Crocodile Flats, includes tons of rock, sand and palm trees – a veritable tropical oasis. Nile Crocodile can reach up to 16 feet and nearly 1,000 pounds when fully grown, a truly amazing site to see!

The Seaquarium has a number of shows featuring dolphins, orca “killer” whales, and sea lions, as well as presentations about sharks, manatee, seals and sea lions, and all the amazing creatures of the tropical reefs. There is Dolphin Harbor waiting to be explored, an area to race remote controlled boats and cars, and Salty’s Pirate Playground, for your little ones to relax and play when they need a break in their educational day.
